Bandit
Bandit is an LA womenswear brand built on the energy of the city — West Hollywood late nights, Silver Lake mornings, the highway at golden hour. Wahid Studio built a fully custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront that matches that energy: an interactive OS-style desktop with draggable windows, a built-in VHS film player, and a content system the founder manages entirely without touching code.

The Challenge
Bandit's off-the-shelf Shopify theme was doing nothing for the brand.
The storefront looked like every other DTC fashion site — clean, competent, forgettable. For a brand with a distinct point of view and a growing campaign film library, a generic template was actively undercutting the work. The site needed to feel like the brand: cinematic, tactile, a little reckless. Beyond aesthetics, Bandit needed infrastructure that could scale. Product-level sizing guides, structured FAQs built for Google and AI search engines, a contact form that auto-handled customer inquiries — all without requiring a developer every time content needed updating.
Our Approach
Wahid Studio designed and built a fully custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront on Cloudflare Workers — no theme, no templates, everything written from scratch.
The centerpiece is an interactive OS-style desktop homepage: visitors click icons to open draggable windows revealing the brand story, catalog, campaign imagery, films, and upcoming popup events. On mobile, the desktop collapses into a vertically stacked layout with tappable panels and a persistent "Shop All" CTA. The entire content system — every homepage window, popup event, screensaver video, social link, and credits bar — is controlled through a single Shopify metaobject. No code deploys for content changes. We built out a full Films section with a custom VHS-aesthetic video player, a Journal for brand storytelling and vlogs, per-product sizing guides and FAQs with structured data for Google rich results, live search, a cart drawer, customer account portal, dark/light theme, and an /llms.txt AI context file so crawlers know exactly where Bandit's authoritative content lives.
